My last night at the gas station/truck stop is done! Woo-hoo! For those of you who didn’t know, I have been working full-time for the last three months as a 3rd-shift attendant at a 24-hour gas station/truck stop off of I-540. Just had to have an extra income to help make it through the slow season with the salon (and this is a big part of the reason I am going to massage therapy school this year–hopefully I won’t have to do that again!). Needless to say, it was hard on Robert and myself. We only got to see each other for about an hour or so a day, and I was always sleeping. But hey, what a great way to lose weight–I lost 25 pounds in the time I was working there. Now to just put some of that weight back on in the right places this time!

Until next time…

Well, it’s almost been one full month, and today we get the car back from the shop (and it’s been exactly the 3 weeks the body shop thought it would be!). And to think I only did $6800 worth of damage! Now the real test–let’s see how it handles over the next few days.

It seems that the insurance company is going to pay to have the car repaired. The repair shop thinks it will take approximately 3 weeks. We’ll see…

Puppy Update: It would appear we are the proud new “parents” of EIGHT puppies! A big litter from our little girl!

Our “puppy” Seven (an Australian Shepherd), had puppies of her own today. We really weren’t sure if she was pregnant, up until about a week ago. Guess Seven was a lot further along than we thought! (It would also appear that she was a little older than the shelter we rescued her from had believed as well.)

Robert went outside to feed her tonight, and thought he heard something whimpering. He looked in Seven’s dogloo (yes, a “dogloo”–an igloo-shaped doghouse), and there were 3 jet-black puppies whimpering that Seven was attending to.

Until next time…
Erik
