30 Day Challenge, Day 16 — A song that makes you cry (or nearly)

My sixteenth entry in this "30 Day Challenge" is a song that makes me cry (or nearly).

I don't have one.

Weird. I know.

Until next time...

Mogwai

The first thought that went through my head when I saw this picture was: "Bright Light! Bright Light!".

The other thoughts I had were not from that movie.

30 Day Challenge, Day 15 — A fanfic

My fifteenth entry in this "30 Day Challenge" is a fanfic.

SRSLY? Fan Fiction?

I have never read a "fanfic" that I am consciously aware of. Who the hell came up with this category for this meme thingy?

Until next time...

30 Day Challenge, Day 14 — A non-fictional book

My fourteenth entry in this "30 Day Challenge" is a non-fictional book.

After thinking about yesterday's post and seeing other bloggers answers to the same question, I'm assuming this question is in reference to my favorite non-fictional book. Again, I'm assuming.

And non-fiction has always confused me as a category. Because non-fiction is supposed to be exactly the opposite of fiction, but if you really think about it, it's really only the truth from that one point of view, which could still be entirely fictional.

Or am I just to picky?

Until next time...

30 Day Challenge, Day 13 — A fictional book

My thirteenth entry in this "30 Day Challenge" is a fictional book.

As today is Towel Day, it seems only fitting that my favorite work of (science) fiction would also be my favorite book: "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", by the late Douglas Adams.

In many of the more relaxed civilizations on the Outer Eastern Rim of the Galaxy, the Hitchhiker's Guide has already supplanted the great Encyclopaedia Galactica as the standard repository of all knowledge and wisdom, for though it has many omissions and contains much that is apocryphal, or at least wildly inaccurate, it scores over the older, more pedestrian work in two important respects.

First, it is slightly cheaper; and secondly it has the words DON'T PANIC inscribed in large friendly letters on its cover.

Until next time...
