A real snow job.

I went to bed last night at 1AM with no snow falling. I woke up this morning at 9:30 to 18″. It is still snowing now, at 1:12 PM.

It’s now an A-frame birdhouse. (click to embiggen)

On the news this morning, they posted the NW Arkansas-area seasonal snow fall records since 1940:
25.8″ in 2009 – 2010
25.0″ in 1977 – 1978
22.5″ in 2002 – 2003
21.2″ in 1947 – 1948
19.5″ in 1959 – 1960

We’ve set a new record. And winter isn’t even over yet.

I’m so ready for Spring.

Until next time...

    1. Definitely didn’t go to the studio today. Actually, I can’t even get out of where I live today. The snow is 2′ deep now. And since I live out in the sticks, the roads don’t get scraped here.

  1. how exciting !
we used to have a ‘snow meter’ which we stuck in the ground in autumn; we could see how many inches of snow there was by how much was buried.
Our snow meter now stands in our backyard – but it seems broken; no snow yet x 5 years, alas.
