I'm doing my fifth "12 on 12". How is that for me sticking to something?

Created by Chad Darnell and picked up from a number of random bloggers who then link back to him and vice versa. Chad stopped doing the 12 of 12 links in December of 2011, so I linked to Blobby's Blog as Blobby is the one who inspired me to do it. And someone should get some credit.

There's 13 pictures for this month. 12 for the "12 on 12", and one for the "Pic a Day in May".

10:11 AM: I just woke up. And this is the view from the upstairs toilet. One of these days we'll actually get around to doing some remodeling up here.

10:35 AM: Apparently the Husbear bought some roses. I missed that memo.

11:39 AM: Now everything smells like clean linen AND poop!

11:41 AM: Michelle, the salon's receptionist.

1:03 PM: I just pulled the business mail from the mailbox. And wow! That seems like a risque cover for TIME.

3:13 PM: The view out of my window at the studio. And a rare moment of me looking out of it.

7:49 PM: Gavin, the studio's piercer and one of three tattooists, enjoying a cigar.

7:55 PM: What the front of my studio looks like. I dig it.

8:12 PM: And a rare moment of me sitting OUTSIDE my studio.

9:15 PM: The start of a supply run at the store.

9:46 PM: And 30 minutes later.... Yes, there are products in it that scare me too.

10:33 PM: A certain blogger friend reminded me in conversation that I was out of Guinness. So I had to drive up to Missouri to get more beer. Because we live in a dry county. A FUCKING DRY COUNTY! And then I have to drive back to Arkansas to drink it.

11:06 PM: Home. Unwinding from the day and week. With a Guiness. My weekend starts now!

Jim of Jim's Stuff started his own version of the "Pic a Day in May" challenge. So I thought I'd go ahead and give it a shot. It's not like I can really think of anything to blog about these days anyway. So we'll go with my life in pictures. There's that whole "a picture is worth a thousand words" thing anyway, so that just means I need to write less.

An Evening with CAKE

For some reason, I failed to post this sooner. But here it is now. Time is relative, after all.

Last Thursday, CAKE was here in concert at the Arkansas Music Pavilion.

There were supposed to be four of us going to see CAKE, but one had planning opportunities with work, and the other just couldn't make up his mind about going. Luckily the fabulous Ms. Gray and I know how to have a great time together, so we went without them.

We stopped at the Mellow Mushroom for some pre-concert munchies. Who knew plates of food could be so pretty?

Then we headed over to the Arkansas Music Pavilion, aka the AMP. It's a funky-looking structure, isn't it?

And here's the fabulous Ms. Gray and myself:

CAKE! CAKE! CAKE!

It was a great concert. CAKE played a double show. Which was awesome! I really think they sound better live than they do on the albums, which is really saying something considering how well their albums sound.

Go see them if you get the chance.

The TARDIS is a Transformer? Or the Transformer is a TARDIS? Either way, I want one. Someone needs to make this toy happen. Now. I'll buy 5!

Oh, and if someone can point me in the direction of where I can find a reprint of this shirt in a large, I'll love you long time. Maybe twice!
