I tried before and failed. But today I nuked my Facebook account. Well, my “personal” one. I have to maintain a “fake” one that I can access both my Tattoo studio’s page and the Husbear’s salon page from in order to be all “social” with the businesses. Maybe I just need to hire a PR firm to do that for me.
That said, you can still find me over on Twitter (rarely), and on Instagram (which crossposts here on my blog). Or I guess there’s email. Or texting…
Hopefully this nuking sticks.
Until next time...
How did people know we really existed before social media?
Blogs. 😉
I’ve been off Facebook for over a year (at least) now, and to be honest I still have occasional pangs. The first few weeks/months away will be the hardest; it really is like a drug, but you’ll make it.
I have both a Twitter and an Instagram, and that seems to satisfy my need for being social. And of course the blog that I just can’t quit…
It is like a drug, isn’t it. That need to know what’s happening. Like I’m missing out. But that’s the problem for me: I already have enough going on with myself that it takes the focus away from what I need to be doing.
I am selfish to say I am glad you disposed of FB rather than your blog. I’d go over into madness.
I don’t plan on ever getting rid of my diary, er, blog. It might get a little stale and boring, but it’s here. 😉
