Pic a Day in May: May 2

Jim of Jim’s Stuff started the “Pic a Day in May” challenge two years ago. I did it then, and last year, and felt like I’d do it again this year. Since that’s all I pretty much post these days.

Today is my Friday. A day earlier than normal. Because I’m taking tomorrow off. But I got to start this tattoo today. We stopped at about the 5-hour mark as he was starting to get twitchy.

Gearing up...
Gearing up…

Until next time...

    1. That’s a “ghost” line. We use that when we’re doing a large stencil like that, but know the client won’t be able to sit for the entire piece. That will all be hidden once the tattoo is completed.

  1. Can you disclose the stories behind the tattoos you do, or is there an equivalent in your field for ‘patient confidentiality’?

    1. There is no “technical” confidentiality. Unless the client asks/tells. However, most of the time I don’t ask the reason behind the tattoo. A lot of people offer it during the process, but not always.
