Random Bits

These are just some random bits I have bubbling around in my head. I’ll even be kind and present them in thought bubbles. Kind of.

The Husbear and his lesbian say I have my “normal laugh”, and then I have a “flirt laugh”. What the Hell is a “flirt laugh”? I’ve never noticed a difference in my laugh, so if I do it must be something I am unaware of. They couldn’t explain it to me.

UrSpo did a video walk-through of his home. I was kicking around doing a similar thing. Of course, my video would take all of 30 seconds due to the size of the house.

I keep thinking about what’s going on with the Boy Scouts of America, and I’ve been kicking around putting my thoughts down on how I feel about that as an Eagle Scout who happens to be gay.

Green Day’s musical “American Idiot” will be coming to the Walton Art Center on Friday, April 26, 2013, and I hope someone reads this and gets me tickets.

I keep pondering about nuking both my Twitter and Facebook accounts. I’ve pretty much stopped using Twitter mostly because I just don’t seem to have time. And Facebook has just grown a little unwieldy to me. Even though in both I have most people sorted into different lists so I can quickly scan based on my interest, it’s still a matter of time. Or a better use of it.

Thinking about it, maybe it’s the computer itself that I need to get rid of. I consciously admit I spend way to much time sitting in front of it. But I do use it as my television as well. Although I can do everything I need, or should be doing, from my mobile.

I’ve started watching the show “True Blood” just to see what the hubbub is about. I just started season two, and I have to say, I don’t see it I’ll be lucky to make it through the next DVD.

I have been pondering a post on some of the studio things I hear people say in the tattoo studio. Really, really, really stupid things.

I wonder if people sort the porn they have saved on their computer. Do they sort it by some sort of category system like by what’s going on? Or maybe just by date? Or does one even bother to sort half a Terabyte of porn?

Now my mind is empty. Again.

Until next time...
Erik

  1. I know other people that organize their porn and even build backup servers to make sure they don’t lose it.

I have been thinking about nuking my Facebook account as well because I have a love-hate relationship with that thing. The one good thing about it is that it lets me keep in touch with my family in a remote way that I kind of like. I’m not overly social.

One of my main motivations for maintaining a blog in general (and a Twitter account) is the stupid things I hear people say or do out in the world. I definitely think you should write that post.

    1. I might have a backup. Might. 😉

That’s kind of how I feel about FB too. There’s people I met IRL on there that don’t seem to have any other form of communication. Plus there are some blogger friends on there who no longer blog, so it’s the only way I seem to keep in communication. I guess it’s just the nature of the beast.

      1. Yeah, many bloggers have resorted to FB only so that’s how I keep in touch with folks that I used to read about. Prose has given way to spurts, but iI can deal with it.

  2. I use twitter mostly for work-related things, and Facebook allows me to connect with my cousin and his husband in Spain. Other than that, I would dump them in a second. Just don’t dump the blog.

  3. I LOVE True Blood but it is an acquired taste. 🙂

I’d ditch FB if I didn’t have my motorcycle group on their for planning rides. I am seriously considering creating a sub feed of only people I really want to know about and avoiding all other streams. Twitter I seem to use hit & miss these days. It always seems to be links to other things that don’t interest me.

I think my laugh sounds gay, for lack of a better description but everyone else seems to think not.

I have so little porn it isn’t even worth organizing. Watching porn makes the “situation” worse for me, if you catch my drift. 🙂
