I'm doing my fourth "12 on 12". Can you believe I've stuck with something for so long? ;-)

All pictures were taken with my iPhone 3GS. Click the images to enlarge, if you dare!

Created by Chad Darnell and picked up from a number of random bloggers who then link back to him and vice versa. Chad stopped doing the 12 of 12 links in December of 2011, so I linked to Blobby's Blog as Blobby is the one who inspired me to do it. And someone should get some credit.

I have a difficult time figuring out when to start my "12 on 12". Since I work odd hours (compared to the rest of you humans), the 12th starts on my 11th. So I'm going with that for this round of "12 on 12".

1:34 AM: Unwinding from a day of tattooing. Listening to some BS:G while reading blogs.

2:08 AM: Bedtime. Seriously, that's how dark our bedroom is.

10:13 AM: The stack of magazines in the bathroom. The Husbear likes to read. Unfortunately he doesn't get rid of the magazines when he's done.

10:18 AM: Sophie waiting outside the back door for her morning breakfast. (And yes, there's a bathtub on our back deck... for now.)

10:21 AM: A picture of myself that resulted from a comment made on this post on Voenix Rising.

12:07 PM: Can you tell I live in Razorback country? I wonder if that's Jessica Dorrell's vehicle?

12:45 PM: I bought a new clock today. I have a thing for funky clocks. I think this one qualifies.

7:32 PM: Don't you hate when your zipper flap doesn't stay down? I'm not one for ironing.

10:31 PM: Running a new security camera cable in the Husbear's salon. Because sometimes these things just have to be done.

11:20 PM: Lost Highway, Bentonville to Pea Ridge style.

11:31 PM: Toe damage. I was repositioning my tattoo chair tonight and somehow managed to kick it. HURT LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER! I didn't take my shoe off to check, but I wasn't sure if I broke my nail or toe. Looks like it was the nail. Ouch.

11:46 PM: Apparently the Husbear purchased some new chicks today. More mouths to feed....

And the lame baker's dozen: 11:50 PM: Watching an episode or two of "Chopped" before I go to bed in an effort to get the hang of the emcee thing for this Saturday.

Until next time...
Erik

12 on 12, February 2012

I'm doing my second "12 on 12".

All pictures were taken with my iPhone.

20120212-222629.jpg
10:29 AM: Awake and out of bed. That's a start, right? And I really need to trim my talons.

20120212-222703.jpg
10:45 AM: The Husbear's backside. That's what he gets for coming into the bathroom before I'm done.

20120212-222735.jpg
10:59 AM: I really need to start working on that stack of paperwork. I think we'll go shopping instead.

20120212-222806.jpg
11:42 AM: The Husbear modeling some furniture at Pier 1.

20120212-222848.jpg
11:47 AM: I think this shark is high. Actually, I'm fairly certain of it.

20120212-222954.jpg
1:34 PM: Pondering a new remote system for the entertainment system. Because I don't have a sonic screwdriver yet.

20120212-223130.jpg
2:39 PM: I want one. Not because I cook. But because it looks like a Dalek! SPICE-IN-NATE!!!

20120212-223204.jpg
3:26 PM: Camera sitting on a shelf at a flea market. I really like the look of it.

20120212-223317.jpg
4:28 PM: m wants some attention.

20120212-223555.jpg
10:18 PM: Incoming weather. And the Doctor. One usually precedes the other.

20120212-232106.jpg
11:13 PM: Do you ever feel like you're being... watched?

20120212-232215.jpg
11:17 PM: Bedtime for the Husbear.

Until next time...
Erik

13 on 13

So I'm doing my very first "12 on 12". But on the 13th. Since it's a Friday the 13th. And since I tend to be contrary like that.

13 pictures taken on the 13th of the month. All pictures were taken with my iPhone.

20120113-224524.jpg
10:01 AM: Brush, brush, brush. Brush, brush, brush.

20120113-224535.jpg
10:02 AM: µ probably wonders why us pink-skins put on clothing. Actually, she probably wants me to hurry up and put my clothes on!

20120113-224551.jpg
10:21AM: Suiting up. My feet. Which reminds me, I need to tell a humorous story about this pair of Chucks.

20120113-224605.jpg
10:30 AM: Essential head gear for the 20 degree weather we're having today. Not a fan of the cold. Ever. And we still have snow on the ground from the dusting we received the day before.

20120113-224630.jpg
10:42 AM: Returning a disc back to Netflix. A Doctor Who episode or two. I may or may not be making "archival backups". Just in case. I really need to buy every episode made, which hopefully I can do one day when I'm rich.

20120113-224643.jpg
11:34 AM: Preparing my room at the studio for the day. All cleaned and mopped.

20120113-224655.jpg
11:39 AM: Making tattoo care instruction sheets. Because it's important.

20120113-224707.jpg
2:59 PM: Got my hair cut. Again. So much maintenance these things are.

20120113-224720.jpg
7:18 PM: A quick snack between tattoos.

20120113-224736.jpg
9:57 PM: Leaving the studio for the night.

20120113-224753.jpg
10:24 PM: The product I ordered December 8, 2011 FINALLY came in the mail today. Over one month after I ordered it. I definitely don't recommend ordering anything from Pet Street Mall if you're in a rush.

20120113-224807.jpg
10:27 PM: Dinner. The Husbear made some chili.

20120113-224831.jpg
10:39 PM: My entertainment unit/work space. This is pretty much where I park my butt at night once I get home. The Husbear is usually in bed already. And I usually have tattoos to draw, paperwork to work, blogs to read, and Doctor Who episodes to watch.

20120113-225034.jpg
Bonus: 10:49 PM: Someone got a Friday the 13th tattoo today!

Until next time...
Erik

Kittehs POV

We've still had no luck keeping the kittehs out of the tree. I know I've had to talk the Husbear out of the trees a few times because of it. So much for "happy holiday season".

The only "solution" we haven't tried yet is the motion-sensing air blaster. But at $50 a setup, I'm holding off on that idea. For now.

So we have resorted to installing a temporary panel door between the kitchen and living room, and locking the kittehs in the kitchen and mudroom area when we're not in the house, or when we're sleeping. They are not amused. And to be honest, neither are us humans.

The tree may just come down before the holiday this year.

Hat tip to Alexander of Voenix Rising for thinking of me and sending me the cartoon.

Until next time...

Bad kittehs!

The Yaksmas tree was up for LESS than one day before the kittehs µ and m had destroyed it.

We put the tree up Sunday evening. And when we woke up Monday morning... well... there's a Doctor Who episode (or two) that has these remote-controlled, killer Yaksmas trees in them that basically spin around and try to kill you. That's what it looked like had happened to our tree.

The Husbear was not amused.

As the Husbear and I never found a solution that would keep them out of the tree last year, we have resigned ourselves to locking them up in the kitchen and mudroom when we're not around to watch them. And even THAT took some doing: we had to install a temporary door just to get that to work.

Damn you, kittehs!

I wonder if anyone markets perimeter-aware shock collars for kittehs....

I'm so tempted.

Until next time...
Erik
