We have a lot of pea fowl, actually. That’s the one that’s out of the aviary. The rest are in a large enclosure. They are the Husbear’s. I make no claim to them.
They holler all the damn time. More so during mating season. We actually have guineafowl that are much better guard animals than our peafowl are.
That one peacock is fairly friendly. In at least he’s not aggressive or skittish. Most all the ones we have are like that actually. The rest are confined to a large aviary.
We did, and several times they had a go with a large portion of our fowl. We’ve taken measures to help stop that over the years, and thus far they have worked.
Why is everybody out in the yard instead of in the aviary? Good behavior?
They’ve eaten all the grass in their aviary, so we let them out during the day to graze….
a Peacock! Very cool

Peacocks are great guard animals. As you are aware – THEY ARE LOUD! LOLOLOLOL Beautiful bird. Is he skittish/mean or somewhat friendly?

Do you get foxes, wolves and other predators?

Well-house disguised as an outhouse. 😉
