30 Day Challenge, Day 19 — A talent of yours

My nineteenth entry in this “30 Day Challenge” is a talent of mine.

I always find talent to be relative to those I’m around at that moment.

Things I can do that others might say is talented if it’s not something they do:

  • Build a computer;
  • Install multiple computer operating systems;
  • “Play” in the Windows Registry like no bodies business;
  • Draw/Paint/Artsy Stuff;
  • Tattoo;
  • Building things/general construction.

I can also do that thing with my tongue :

Until next time...

30 Day Challenge, Day 18 — Whatever tickles your fancy

My eighteenth entry in this “30 Day Challenge” is another “whatever tickles my fancy” post.

Have you ever wondered how your computer’s Internet browser works? Not the nitty-gritty of the software code itself, but how it knows where to go when you type “http://erikrubright.com” in the address bar? Here’s a little cartoon that shows you that. You’ll definitely need to click to see it full size.

Until next time...
Erik

30 Day Challenge, Day 17 — An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)

My seventeenth entry in this “30 Day Challenge” is an art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.).

I’m assuming this is about one I like that someone else has created, and not one I’ve created. Because that would be kinda egotistical, wouldn’t it?

I’ve always had a fascination with Katsushika Hokusai’s 1832 woodblock print “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” from his “36 Views of Mount Fuji” series.

I’m fairly certain I could not tell you why I like it. But I do. And that’s what matters.

Until next time...
Erik
