Monthly Archives: March 2012

12 of 12, March 2012

I’m doing my third “12 of 12”.

All pictures were taken with my iPhone. Click the images to enlarge, if you dare!

Created by Chad Darnell and picked up from a number of random bloggers who then link back to him and vice versa. Chad stopped doing the 12 of 12 links in December of 2011, so I linked to Blobby’s Blog as Blobby is the one who inspired me to do it.

8:59 AM: Breakfast. Kind of. I’m just too lazy to take a vitamin. Plus I like the flavor.

9:00 AM: The Husbear’s banana trees. These will be transplanted outside here soon. To grow and grow and grow.

9:06 AM: A big pile of artwork to work on for upcoming tattoo appointments. I’m booked out about a month at this point. And I’m entirely okay with that.

11:20 AM: Fresh out of the shower! The Husbear’s bathrobe hanging up behind me makes me look like I have a mullet.

12:36 PM: And as of today, my tattoo studio is now open 7 days a week! I had to scrape off the old closed sign on the door and put this sign up temporarily until the sign guy can come put new stickers on the window.

3:18 PM: The lady ahead of me in line at the Post Office. She had her hand down the back of her pants. Digging. I just missed capturing the magic. And then avoided touching everything she did.

4:20 PM: It’s Beveraging Monday! For those of you who follow me on Twitter and Facebook, you are well aware of the awesomeness that is Beveraging Monday.

4:38 PM: Ashley, the bestest bartender ever, brought me a rubber ducky! A light up rubber ducky!

5:10 PM: Look who shows up for beveraging? It’s Mike! It really wouldn’t be Beveraging Monday without Mike.

8:15 PM: And then we were joined by both the awesome GypsyBiscuit and MAG! This is what happens when you leave your phone unaccompanied at the table.

8:15 PM: MAG also got in on the unaccompanied phone action.

8:54 PM: If only the beer glasses were that large….

Bonus picture: 10:48 PM: And then things got all wibbly wobbly.

Until next time...

Can’t Reach

I have a really strange obsession with the T. rex. Not the band, but the dinosaur. I always have since I was a kid. I have no idea why.

So when I saw this cartoon, I roared hysterically. Because I’m one to do that.

(Stolen from WulffmorgentHaler.)

I keep kicking around a tattoo idea involving a T. rex holding a cupcake. Or driving a convertible sports car.

Because I’m hysterical like that. 😉

Until next time...

Burning… Bridges

Today is the father-unit’s birthday. It’s his 70th. I think.

It’s been almost 4 years since the accusation occurred, and I still haven’t gotten over it. I haven’t called him on his birthday since then, and I think I’ve only sent one card as well.

I’m not really sure where I was going with this. That’s what this situation does to my brain.

On a happier note, yesterday I was able to go to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art with Sandy of The Banal Chew, the fabulous GypsyBiscuit, and He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named-Just-Because. A nice time was had by all.

For some reason I only took a few pictures, none of which Sandy happened to be in. 🙁

But here’s the ones I took.

Pamphlets lying around. I re-arranged them. And I laughed. Because I’m 12 years old.

I tried a Salted Caramel Latte. Not a fan. But the top of it was pretty.

It was a pretty day. The sun was shining and it was slightly warm out.

The fabulous GypsyBiscuit. With her cooking t-shirt of awesomeness.

And now that I’ve written this post, I think I know exactly which “family” is really important to me.

Until next time...
