Pancake on a stick? Hmm…. what happens when the airbags go off? Where does the stick go?

More than a little freaked out waking up to these two leaning on my chest and staring at me this morning. #fauna

Hi-Fi Friday: April 21, 2017

Blobby‘s month to pick the theme, and he chose days of the week. And made it tougher to boot: whatever day of the week you start with, you have to then go sequentially – so, if you start with a Tuesday, then your subsequent weeks have to be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Blobby started with The Cure’s “Friday I’m in Love”. I thought for a wee bit about whether I should be smart/evil and start with a Saturday song, so I could kill any possibility of song choice overlap. I wonder if he thought about that with this?

I went the evil route, because… me.

As my last was a Sunday song, this one is a Monday song. Unless I’m jumping back and forth across the International Date Line. But then things get all complicated.

Monday. Oh so many choices. New Order’s “Blue Monday”, The Bangles’ “Manic Monday”, Duran Duran’s “New Moon On Monday”, Fleetwood Mac’s “Monday Morning”, Jimmy Buffett’s “Come Monday”.

But I’m going all choking on a chicken leg with this one…

I give you The Mamas & the Papas’ 1966 “Monday Monday”:

Until next time...

Hi-Fi Friday: April 14, 2017

This post was scheduled to post last Friday, but for whatever reason, WordPress failed me. And I didn’t realize it until now. So it’s late.

As my last was a Saturday song, this one is a Sunday song. There were, of course, a few obvious Sunday songs from the likes of U2, Blondie, Johnny Cash, and even Green Day. But I went a little farther back in time.

Written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, I give you The Monkees 1967 “Pleasant Valley Sunday”:

Until next time...

The “there’s a small spider walking on the wall and I’m not taking my eyes off of it” selfie.

12 of 12: April 12, 2017

The 12 of 12 Challenge was created by Chad Darnell and picked up by a number of random bloggers who linked back to him and vice versa. Chad stopped doing the 12 of 12 Challenge in December 2011, but passed the torch to someone who hasn’t kept up with it. I am giving my shout-out to Blobby of Blobby’s Blog as he is the one who initially inspired me to do the Challenge, and he still does it as well.

This is my 64th “12 of 12.” A Wednesday. And a late post. I was attempting to post this on the road from the app on my phone, but discovered along the way that it wouldn’t connect to my website. So you’re getting this late.

7:14 AM: I’m up early. Although the last week or so I’ve been waking up around 5 AM for some reason.
8:25 AM: milli either wants something, or is trying to figure out why I’m not still in bed.
9:02 AM: Ready for the upcoming adventure. Easter in NOLA. And a quick stop at the beach beforehand.
10:15 AM: A couple of the tattoos I’ll be doing today.
11:21 AM: Me! Not sure what I was doing… but I did it.
2:44 PM: Tattoo #1 today.
2:44 PM: Mostly healed tattoo I did previously on the same client.
3:32 PM: A client brought me a lamp today! I could always use a little more light. (And a little more whiskey.)
5:05 PM: Tattoo #2 today. She’s a little puffy, but it’s a watercolor/sketchy piece.
5:16 PM: A new rubber ducky! From a client’s daughter. Thank you, Ava!
8:07 PM: Paperwork! 😉
9:16 PM: On the road… to Pensacola Beach.

Until next time...
Erik
