Loretta Lynne is a fantastic artist and American icon. I am not a country fan by any stretch of the imagination, but the release of her collection “Van Lear Rose” produced by Jack White (of the White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather) is one of the most incredible country/punk/rock releases ever to hit the airways. Listen to some clips from this album and you’ll see why her career has endured. The Mister and I went to her ranch as we were passing by on a road trip. There was a cross country road race happening on her ranch and there was Loretta Lynne driving around with her assistant in a old Cadillac just chatting up everyone.
I never thought I would enjoy a Dolly Parton concert since I don’t listen to much country music, but it was one of my favorite concerts. Give Loretta a chance; you might be surprised.
If not, you can always have the Husbear take it out in trade.

I once went to a George Jones and Tammy Wynette concert with Himself, although I am not a huge country fan, but Himself is, and we had a grand time.
