12 of 12, January 2018 edition

Jim, formerly of Jim’s Stuff, started the “Pic a Day in May” challenge three years ago. I’ve done it each year, and will continue since that’s all I pretty much post these days. The only other blogger that I’m aware of who is also doing this is Blobby of Blobby’s Blog.

My 73rd “12 of 12”. Thankfully.

9:47 AM: It’s cold. And we’ve still got a little frozen precipitation on the ground.
12:16 PM: I’m unofficially in the studio since my health scare, but I’m only doing the smaller appointments I have scheduled.
1:13 PM: One of today’s tattoos.
1:58 PM: Sometimes I have to leave hate notes for the salon staff, as we share a common area.
3:08 PM: Simple lunch,. A little more protein than I’m supposed to have though.
3:44 PM: I was supposed to do this portrait of my bestest buddy Patrick’s dad on Tuesday, but I was in the hospital. Sadly, his dad passed away yesterday and won’t get to see it.
4:58 PM: Another small tattoo from today.
8:46 PM: The fauna resting on me. I’m not sure who’s providing warmth to who.
9:29 PM: Watching Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. I’ve read both the books, and I like the way the story is going so far in the show.
10:30 PM: Those aren’t teeth marks. Still got the glue on me from those damn sticky things they stuck all over me.

I’m two photos short. I’ve been tired since the hospital incident. I’m slowly recovering.

Until next time...
Erik

The 12 of 12 Challenge was created by Chad Darnell and picked up by a number of random bloggers who linked back to him and vice versa. Chad stopped doing the 12 of 12 Challenge in December 2011, but passed the torch to someone who hasn’t kept up with it. I am giving my shout-out to Blobby of Blobby’s Blog as he is the one who initially inspired me to do the Challenge, and he still does it as well.

My 72nd “12 of 12”. Still the only thing I actually post manually. Maybe one day that will change.

8:17 AM: The breakfast of non-champions.
8:39 AM: Apparently Luna thinks I’m her breakfast.
9:30 AM: And off to the studio I go.
10:39 AM: The first tattoo of today. Or, what was supposed to be the first. Client rescheduled.
11:53 AM: A little lunch under the moon.
1:14 PM: Swinging by Sonic for a tea while out running errands. Because caffeine!
4:12 PM: And… the third tattoo for the day.
5:43 PM: And the result.
5:49 PM: And the client brought me a present!
7:25 PM: A little reading, and listening to a Doctor Who episode.
10:00 PM: And there’s always laundry. Why is there always laundry?
11:34 PM: Heading off to bed…

Until next time...

My 71st “12 of 12”. And the only thing I still actually post manually. Currently. I still apologize to those of you who have commented on my posts and I’ve not replied. I need to work on that more than I have been.

I’m three pictures short this month. My phone and I had disagreements on what “being in focus” meant, as you can tell from one or two of the shots I posted. The rest were just horrifically blurry, and not because I was.

*****

11:08 AM: Dishes to do following our Friendsgiving the night before.
12:16 PM: Back porch is cleaned up (mostly), after Friendsgiving.
3:28 PM: I see a face in the wet spot.
3:41 PM: Goldilocks and the 3 bears. I’m not sure who is what.
5:12 PM: Our buddy Dwayne from STL is comfy on the couch, and Luna is as well.
6:04 PM: Pirates. Fluff movie.
6:51 PM: milli judging our movie choices.
9:34 PM: She’s still worn out, apparently.
10:51 PM: Bedtime rituals.

Until next time...

Also, I apologize to those of you who have commented on my posts and I’ve not replied. I need to work on that.

10:08 AM: Luna’s a little cold this morning, as it’s a wee bit cold outside here, and the heater isn’t coming on yet.
10:48 AM: I can kill any plant. Another reason I didn’t go into the family business.
12:10 PM: Today’s first tattoo. This was done his first sitting. Time for his second.
3:23 PM: Part of the completion of today’s first tattoo.
4:52 PM: Trying to get my chip card reader to work, and having a snack before my next client.
7:19 PM: Meowingtonne is a little dirty. As he should be. I’m also impressed with the lower-light photos my phone seems to be able to take. Most of the time.
8:19 PM: On the treadmill. A result of something I probably need to sit down and write about.
9:48 PM: A portion of my desk at home now. A mostly duplicate set-up, so I don’t have to haul gear back and forth anymore.
10:48 PM: And then, I had to go out and shoot a critter that was messing with the pea fowl. While I’d much rather catch and release critters elsewhere, sometimes that’s just not an option.
11:29 PM: I managed to tile and grout the floor, and get an utility sink installed over the past weekend or two.
11:30 PM: A late snack. Healthier. Again, a result of something I need to write about.
11:59 PM: Since I started with Luna, I’ll end with her as well. She lays in her bed while I’m at my desk.

Until next time...

My 69th “12 of 12”. *giggity*

11:04 AM: I’m becoming less young, apparently.
12:44 PM: Milli up to no good, as always.
2:55 PM: Researching options for the patio television.
4:14 PM: Dinner with this handsome bloke.
4:40 PM: The rear shocks on Meowingtonne. Apparently the bushings are bad.
8:12 PM: Ye ol’ blood pressure cuff.
9:10 PM: Luna is tuckered out from a full day playing in the yard.
9:48 PM: Always with the laundry. Always.
10:18 PM: The patio, cleaned.
11:00 PM: She’s still worn out. And decided to pull the stuffing out of her bed.
11:24 PM: The evening medications.
11:26 PM: Yours truly.

This is my 67th “12 of 12.” A Wednesday. A scheduled day off after our July trip so I could get some stuff done around the house. Some of these pictures are taken back-to-back. I was a little too focused on what I was doing and neglected taking photos like I should have.

These photos were taken on my iPhone 7 Plus. Still not used to it.

8:25 AM: She might want me to wake up. Or she might ask why I’m bothering her. I’m still not sure.
9:24 AM: Back in the closet I go. My new office. I’m losing my office at the hair salon, so I’ll be bringing work home now. At least I can close the doors and hide it from everyone.
9:24 AM: Some of what was in the closet that I need to deal with.
9:24 AM: Some more of what was in the closet that I need to deal with. I think I might have a hording problem.
12:39 PM: Paperwork to be incinerated. Most of that was brought home from the salon office. And then there’s our personal financials that are old and need to burn too.
1:26 PM: Your sweaty host. I haven’t sweat that much in ages. Hoisting stuff up to the storage barn from the house.
2:56 PM: In between the hoisting, I painted one of my gas cans. Wasn’t a fan of the red they were originally. Wanted to see what the Olive Drab would look like. I think I like it.
3:18 PM: The storage barn after reorganizing and bringing stuffs up from the house.
3:18 PM: The other side of the storage barn after reorganizing and bringing stuffs up from the house. I think all I did was move stuffs from one place to another. Although there were 4 trash bags full of stuff to toss.
4:18 PM: Someone split.
5:25 PM: Dirty tummy. I got sidetracked and weeded part of the edible garden.
5:26 PM: Cherry tomatoes are almost here! We didn’t plant any tomatoes this year. These all came from dropped tomatoes last year.
Baker’s Dozen: 6:20 PM: Somewhat healthy dinner. I’ve got some dietary changes I have to make after a few blood test revealed I’ve got some health issues I was unaware of.

Until next time...
