Blobby picked out the theme for last month. It was “numbers”: the song must have a number in the title. Not the word ‘number’, but an actual numeric digit of some kind. I asked to continue the theme this month, one, because I liked it, and two, because I’m going to be really busy this month.
For this week, I give you The Smashing Pumpkins’ “1979” from the 1995 album “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness”. But!… I’m giving you the version as seen in the 2006 movie Clerks 2, as it’s what my brain always conjures now when I hear the song. (And if you haven’t watched Clerks or Clerks 2, I highly recommend them.)
The original version of the song is here:

How two grown men could have so much dirty laundry after a 12-day trip is beyond me. And two loads have already been done even!!
Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like it. Had a great time in Pensacola Beach and New Orleans, but I’m definitely happy to be back in my little personal bubble I call home.
