12 of 12: June 12, 2017 edition… but late.

The 12 of 12 Challenge was created by Chad Darnell and picked up by a number of random bloggers who linked back to him and vice versa. Chad stopped doing the 12 of 12 Challenge in December 2011, but passed the torch to someone who hasn’t kept up with it. I am giving my shout-out to Blobby of Blobby’s Blog as he is the one who initially inspired me to do the Challenge, and he still does it as well.

This would have been my 66th “12 of 12.” A Monday. It started out well enough, and then resulted in me nearly drowning after getting hit by a tree limb and my kayak getting stuck under limbs… with me under it. And then my phone got wet as a result of the dry bag failing, and I lost all my pictures I took that day as well.

I was hoping my phone would dry out and I’d be able to recover the photos from it, but alas, it hasn’t happened… yet.

So instead I humbly offer you pictures from the 19th instead, when we mostly recreated the previous Monday, sans drowning attempt.

These photos were taken on my new iPhone 7 Plus. Still not used to it yet. It’s like holding an iPad.

This is my 64th “12 of 12.” A Wednesday. And a late post. I was attempting to post this on the road from the app on my phone, but discovered along the way that it wouldn’t connect to my website. So you’re getting this late.

**7:14 AM:** I’m up early. Although the last week or so I’ve been waking up around 5 AM for some reason.

**8:25 AM:** milli either wants something, or is trying to figure out why I’m not still in bed.

**9:02 AM:** Ready for the upcoming adventure. Easter in NOLA. And a quick stop at the beach beforehand.

**10:15 AM:** A couple of the tattoos I’ll be doing today.

**11:21 AM:** Me! Not sure what I was doing… but I did it.

**2:44 PM:** Mostly healed tattoo I did previously on the same client.

**3:32 PM:** A client brought me a lamp today! I could always use a little more light. (And a little more whiskey.)

**5:05 PM:** Tattoo #2 today. She’s a little puffy, but it’s a watercolor/sketchy piece.

**5:16 PM:** A new rubber ducky! From a client’s daughter. Thank you, Ava!

**9:16 PM:** On the road… to Pensacola Beach.

**10:26 AM:** Time to change the battery in the clock, so I can change the time. Damned time change!

**11:04 AM:** Post-shower selfie. Because. Actually, had I not taken this, I would have been one picture short this month.

**11:34 AM:** Pretty much all that remains of yesterday’s snowmageddon.

**3:21 PM:** Today’s tattoo project. I don’t normally work on Sundays, but I didn’t have any time left in the next couple months to fit this in.

**4:38 PM:** Dinner time with the Husbear at the newly opened Big Whiskey in Bentonville. Nice place so far.

**5:31 PM:** I don’t think the Husbear’s mouth is big enough for that cock. LOL

**7:42 PM:** Busted. Someone was feeding someone else scraps.

**8:45 PM** Time for some leftovers. I really don’t eat much in a sitting.

**10:44 PM:** Domestic duties. Well, not duties. But the Husbear does somehow seem to not know how to load the dishwasher efficiently.

This is my 62nd “12 of 12.” A Sunday. A very warm February Sunday.

I almost missed today, even though I had a reminder set on my phone. It was noon before I realized it, hence the late start of the pictures. Plus I was out a little late last night spending some time getting gambrinous…

Now, on with the show!

**12:33 PM:** I don’t normally tattoo on Sundays, as the studio is closed. But sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in a normal day…

**1:40 PM:** The finished tattoo. The client provided the artwork in this case. The purple is the remains of the stencil used on the client.

**2:38 PM:** Back home. The Husbear and Luna were out clearing underbrush in the wooded area behind the house.

**4:23 PM:** Dinner with the Husbear at one of our local Mexican restaurants, of which there are only two.

**5:12 PM:**Heading home from a short drive after dinner.

**7:10 PM:** The Husbear and Luna watching something on the television.

**8:13 PM:** A certain rubber ducky nightlight in the bathroom that a certain someone sent me.

**9:05 PM:** Someone wants back in after being let out to go potty. And methinks someone else might want to go out.

**9:47 PM:** Well, it’s not going to fold itself…

**10:38 PM:** I’m sure it’s a healthy snack…

**11:27 PM:** And… lame last picture, but it *is* part of my day.

I am giving my shout-out to Blobby of Blobby’s Blog as he is the one who initially inspired me to do the Challenge, and he still does.

This is my 61st “12 of 12.”

This 12 was on a Thursday. Normally, I’d be tattooing. But I took off this entire week to work on a remodel that needed to be done at the studio and the salon. So today’s pictures might be a little more boring than normal.

8:17 AM: The stairs. So small. So designed for people with size 5 feet. I’m surprised I haven’t broken my neck on them yet. Plus, no handrails!

10:12 AM: Freshly showered. Again. And heading off to start day 6 of the remodel at the salon and studio.

10:21 AM: Probably a sign. Dropped my box of nails under the truck. Luckily, they’re joined for use in the nail gun. But still…

12:13 PM: Looking inside the newly removed doorway into what will be a new tattoo room, as well as a sterilization room, and the backside of a janitor closet. This room used to be the shared break room.

12:25 PM: The Husbear caught sneaking some of my eggplant parm. In the new break room. It’s smaller than before, but I’m okay with that. It keeps the salon staff from congregating in there when they should be up front waiting for and with their clients. That just annoyed the piss out of me.

12:59 PM: My first trip to Lowe’s for the day. I’d normally attempt to get all this delivered in one shot, but since both businesses are open while I’m doing this, I have to work in small chunks, and there’s no place to store all the stuffs I need.

2:12 PM: Janitor closet door installed in rough opening, and drywall mud curing covering old pass-through opening into old breakroom.

4:30 PM: Second trip to Lowe’s. Another door, and door things, as well as a few other supplies.

5:21 PM: Like putty in my hands. Come on, you know it’s funny.

6:08 PM: For the first time in the 11 years the studio has been open, we had to call 911 because a client when non-responsive. He was acting someone odd when he came in, and it just spiraled downward from there. He refused to be taken by ambulance, and there’s nothing we could do. Hopefully he didn’t end up hitting a tree or someone. Still not sure what he did or took, but this is why you don’t take substances and come get a tattoo, people!

6:34 PM: Our apprentice getting ready to do his first tattoo on someone not related to the studio.

8:57 PM: My own kill room. I wish. Just taping it off so I can spray the texture on the new walls tonight.

BONUS: 10:43 PM: Watching the texture dry. Or the worst bukkake miss ever.

This is my 60th “12 of 12.” That makes 5 years of doing the “12 of 12”! Wow!

This 12 was on a Monday. A day I’m normally off. But after being sick a couple weeks ago, I had to reschedule some appointments to those days I’m normally off. Then of course, there’s my Beveraging Monday™ as well. So this month you’re getting mostly bar pics. Because, well, gambrinous!
