I am home! Finally. Two weeks away from your loved one(s) and “normal” routines can take it’s toll. Now to catch up on laundry and paperwork….

Here I am in KCMO for work, and there has been a chemical plant explosion not far from where I am staying and working. There is talk about evacuating us out, but it has not happened so far. Guess we will just wait and see…. The lights flickered where we are working a few times, and no one was allowed outside for about 3 hours.

Just got to Kansas City, MO. I will be here for work for the next 13 days. I can not really talk about what I am doing, other than setting up and supporting a remote computer network. It’s always good to travel, but the Husbear really hates it when I’m away.

Received a promotion at (other) work today. I’m now a “System Engineer.” If you want to know what that title actually means, just ask me.

I returned from Nashville today. What a long trip. I was more or less sequestered at the hotel for the duration of the trip. Long days and short nights (4:30 AM to 10:30 PM or later!) pretty much drained every energy reserve I had. At least the hotel was enclosed and it was always nice inside! Tommy, I don’t know how you did all these meetings for all those years, but you have my sincerest admiration!
