Jim of Jim’s Stuff started the “Pic a Day in May” challenge last year. I did it last year, and felt like I’d do it again this year.

After a fun two nights in Dallas for the Husbear’s birthday, we left this morning and headed southeast to the Gulf of Mexico.
Why? Because the Husbear likes the smell of the ocean. So it’s what we did.
After skimming the coastline for a bit, we turned back northeast to head for home.

Seriously? The Gulf of Mexico smells like the ocean? I live an hour from the Atlantic… I don’t believe there’s any way the Gulf of Mexico smells like the Atlantic. Nope. Convince me!

Wow, nobody else around. That’s something I have never seen at the beaches here.
It’s rare to find here as well. There were several sections of beach along our drive like that though.
