I first saw the ones closer to the horizon as geese flying from right to left but the more I went up into the blue sky the more they looked like jellyfish. Maybe the background color influences the perception.
Now that you mention it, the bottom clouds do like like a flock of birds flying. There were some that didn’t make this picture that looked like brains with melting brain stems. This is why I fail at Rorschach tests. 😉
It’s as if the clouds wanted to be Portuguese man o’ war.
Or they’re melting in some surreal Dali painting.

I’ve seen clouds over land look like that and it generally means that they’re showering water as rain.
That they were. The local weatherperson commented on it that night. It was a cool effect to see.
