12 of 12, February 2013

My fourteenth “12 of 12”.

All pictures were taken by me with my iPhone 4S.

Since I work an odd schedule compared to most of you, I decided to start my “12 of 12” after midnight. It is the twelfth after all….

The 12 of 12 challenge was created by Chad Darnell and picked up from a number of random bloggers who then linked back to him and vice versa. Chad stopped doing the 12 of 12 links in December of 2011, but has now passed the torch on to Janet Hughes. I’m linking with her, but I’m also giving a shout out to to Blobby’s Blog as Blobby is the one who inspired me to do it.

On to the day! Or night, as it might be.

1:00 AM: Home from Monday beveraging. And for some reason I took this picture. For you.
#1 @ 1:00 AM: Home from Monday beveraging. And for some reason I took this picture. For you. Yeah. Just for you.
9:20 AM: Up and at 'em! Getting some laundry started.
#2 @ 9:20 AM: Up and at ’em! Getting some laundry started. And people think I’m not domesticated.
9:38 AM: The dog.
#3 @ 9:38 AM: The dog. He doesn’t listen to me. Which is okay because I don’t listen to him either.
9:38 AM: milli overlooking the dog
#4 @ 9:38 AM: milli overlooking the dog. She doesn’t listen to him either. Or me.
9:40 AM: Yuck. That needs to be cleaned.
#5 @ 9:40 AM: Yuck. That needs to be cleaned. But since I don’t use the stove….
11:45 AM: One of the water towers in Pea Ridge.
#6 @ 11:45 AM: One of the water towers here in Pea Ridge. It’s the old one. I went looking to get up close to it, but it appears to sit in someone’s back yard.
12:09 PM: It's the 21st century, and yet I have things written down on a piece of a dead tree.
#7 @ 12:09 PM: It’s the 21st century, and yet I have things written down on a piece of a dead tree. That, and I have horrible handwriting.
12:46 PM: Want.
#8 @ 12:46 PM: Want. 125 days until my birthday. Of course, there will probably be a new version of it out by then.
1:09 PM: I think someone should tell the cashier she should probably go visit that salon.... Or maybe she did already.
#9 @ 1:09 PM: I think someone should tell the cashier she should probably go visit that conveniently located salon. Actually, I’m betting she did already. Seriously. Go look at the full-size version of this picture.
3:28 PM: Lounging.
#10 @ 3:28 PM: Lounging. I think we both could use a nap. A cat nap.
8:48 PM: Someone wants attention.
#11 @ 8:48 PM: Someone wants more attention apparently.
9:24 PM: The Husbear has the influenza, apparently. Time for him to go to bed!
#12 @ 9:24 PM: The Husbear has the influenza, apparently. He’s chilling and burning up all at the same time. Time for him to go to bed. Hopefully he doesn’t give me his cooties!
BONUS: 10:57 PM: It's started snowing.
BONUS: 10:57 PM: It’s started snowing. It will all be melted by the morning.

Until next time...

12 of 12, January 2013

My thirteenth “12 of 12”. My first of 2013. Obviously. Since it’s only January.

All pictures were taken by me with my iPhone 4S.

Since I work an odd schedule compared to most of you, this time I decided to start my “12 of 12” after midnight. It is the twelfth after all….

12:50 am: Just got home from the tattoo studio. And taking off the shoes. Because the Husbear doesn't like me to wear them inside the house.

1:09 am: I have a flesh wound on my ass. Which I have to doctor three times a day. And cover with a huge band-aid. Now you can say you've seen my ass. Kind of.
1:09 am: I have a flesh wound on my ass. Thanks to some spider which found it’s way up my pants somehow. Which I have to doctor three times a day with some ointment. And cover with a huge band-aid. Now you can say you’ve seen my ass. Kind of.
1:13 am: Dinner. It's healthy, right?

3:12 am: Bedtime. The bedroom is blacked out because I can't sleep with any lights shining in.

11:01 am: The Bentonville Square. Well, part of it. That's the Walmart Cafe right there. Just in case you wanted to go get some classy Walmart food.

11:29 am: This was in the parking lot that the tattoo studio is located in. I have no idea.
11:29 am: This was in the parking lot that the tattoo studio is located in. I have no idea. They just started from nowhere, and stopped nowhere.
1:32 pm: This almost happened. A client brought this in to be tattooed, as is. I asked him even with the mistake in it? He nor his friends caught it. I had to point it out to them....

6:04 pm: I had the honor of tattooing my former and best ever manager's wife tonight. A survivor.

7:58 pm: A little redneck ingenuity on my part. I had some wall texture to mix up, but the only thing I had available was a kitchen tool. Not like it was actually being used in the kitchen.

BONUS: 9:48 pm: A picture of my big, white caulk.

Sure, I’ll still be up for about 4 more hours, but that’s it for pictures from me for today.

Until next time...

12 of 12, December 2012

My twelth “12 of 12”, oddly enough on 12/12. But not 12/12/12. It’s 2012, people! The only thing meaningful about today is that if you’re the rest of the world or American, then the calendar says the same thing.

The 12 of 12 challenge was created by Chad Darnell and picked up from a number of random bloggers who then linked back to him and vice versa. Chad stopped doing the 12 of 12 links in December of 2011, but has now passed the torch on to Janet Hughes. 10:33 AM: But I don't want to wake up. It's all cold outside of these sheets and blankets.

11:55 AM: It's a feast. Or could be. If we ate them. And yes, that's laundry hanging out on the line.

10:57 PM: I must be channeling Elvis. That would explain why I'm getting fat.

11:03 PM: Reading blogs, watching a movie, and responding to email. The second chance I've had to do these things in two weeks time it would seem.

11:32 PM: The tree. We've managed to keep the kittehs out of it so far this year. Of course, I had to install a door to the living room to block them out when we're not present.

I rushed this post, as I wanted to publish it on the 12th. Even though I’ll still be up for a few more hours.

Until next time...

12 of 12, November 2012

It’s still my 12, even though it’s your 13. So you’ll just have to deal with the life of someone who lives second shift. 😉

My eleventh “12 of 12”. All pictures were taken by me with my iPhone 4S. As always, click the images to enlarge if you choose.

The 12 of 12 challenge was created by Chad Darnell and picked up from a number of random bloggers who then linked back to him and vice versa. Chad stopped doing the 12 of 12 links in December of 2011, so I’m linking to Blobby’s Blog as Blobby is the one who inspired me to do it.

10:55 am: Apparently it is feeding time for them both.
12:23 pm: The bathroom addition we started on so long ago? Still in progress. But some progress was made today. *sigh*
1:17 pm: Easily amused they are with each other.
1:18 pm: milli is not amused by their shenanigans.
1:30 pm: Finally uploading pictures to flickr from the last year or so. You can check them out here.
3:07 pm: There was a beard trimming incident.
4:20 pm: Farmer got a shiny new truck!
4:30 pm: Roadhouse? We are in neither a road nor a house.
5:37 pm: You had me at “mouthwatering thick-cut hardwood”. Sadly, you weren’t attached to a man. (Thanks to MAG for pointing out that on the menu.)
7:42 pm: I somehow can’t bring myself to throw the nut shells on the floor.
9:01 pm: Men. There were none. (Thanks to Farmer for taking that for me.)
12:43 am: I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard *that* before….
BONUS: 1:21 am: It’s too cold out. Not a fan. And it’s still “autumn”.

Until next time...
Erik

My tenth “12 of 12”.

All pictures were taken by me with my iPhone 4S. As always, click the images to enlarge if you choose.

10:01 AM: My morning caffeine of choice. Chemicals, I know. But we’re all mortal. And yes, that’s a mason jar. And a bendy straw. It’s how I roll.
10:02 AM: Shoe choice for the day. I’ve about worn the soles off this pair of Chucks. I draw the line at keeping them together with duct tape.
10:34 AM: At Sam’s Club. I wonder how much it costs to print this label? And even more of a wonder, why am I drawn to it?
12:29 PM: Drawing. Kind of. This piece is a wee bit more… architectural? Especially if it involves rulers and circle templates.
2:20 PM: One of these days, maybe all of these devices will match. Maybe. In the meantime, gallimaufry works for me.
4:10 PM: One of the body modifiers at the studio, Chadwick, doing what Chadwick does when he has a free moment.
8:10 PM: A fun tattoo I got to do on a client tonight! It’s actually a cover-up.
8:36 PM: Having a quiet moment in the breakroom.
8:38 PM: Having a quiet moment in the breakroom.
9:22 PM: Our buddy Dwayne from the other side of the state is visiting for the weekend! Neither he nor the Husbear were aware this picture was taken. Until afterwards. I’m sneaky like that.
9:36 PM: They say it’s healthy. I doubt it. If it was healthy I wouldn’t be eating it.
9:54 PM: The housemate’s Interloper’s dog, chasing his own tail. I’m waiting for him to catch it. Or better, to throw up from all the spinning in circles.
11:34 PM: Everyone else is in bed. So it’s paperwork and reading time for me.

I know, there’s 13 pictures. I couldn’t figure out which picture to cut. So you get 13.

Until next time...
Erik

12 of 12, September 2012 edition

My ninth “12 of 12”.

All pictures were taken with my new iPhone 4S. Before we left for New Orleans I replaced my iPhone because it would no longer hold a charge. And now the iPhone 5 is available. Oh well. Story of my life and all. As always, click the images to enlarge if you choose.

10:50 AM: I almost forgot it was “12 of 12” day today. Luckily I wrote myself a Post-It the night before!
11:05 AM: The Marvin’s Grocery suffered some damage in the recent storm. Now it’s just “Man’s”. Sadly, it was just old ladies. And scary people from south Missouri. And me.
11:07 AM: Next door at Fred’s Super Dollar, there was apparently an issue with setting a display. If you take all the stuff off of one side, what do you think happens? Gravity wins!
12:25 PM: We get some rather strange (to me) mail at the tattoo studio.
12:47 PM: And every now and again I get a “thank you” letter surprise in the mail.
1:25 PM: Lettering row. As if there aren’t enough choices in life.
1:47 PM: Quiet time. Nothing happened.
5:20 PM: Reflective.
5:30 PM: The Husbear getting ready to leave the salon for the day.
8:27 PM: Home. And the light at the bottom of the driveway. Because that’s where I parked the truck. Because the driveway still needs to be grated.
8:39 PM: Dinner. It’s all the food groups, right?
10:33 PM: Psuedo-tired. My neck doesn’t want to hold my head up. It’s like bobble-Erik!
Devil’s Dozen! 10:42 PM: More food groups! I eat so healthy. And way to late at night.

Until next time...
Erik
